New HP laptop touchpad barely works! Help

Hey folks,

I just got a new HP G56 130sa from PC World and the touchpad is ridiculously crap. I have turrned the sensitivity thing up as high as it goes, but it is really slow to react and only moves in little jolts. Or if I try to drag it left for instance it will move a few mms and then jump back to where it was.

Is this just a fault with the laptop or is there anything I can do to fix it?

if it's new bring it back, let us know how you find the customer service in pc world...my own personal experience was bad.

You could try updating the driver.
Go to

select your version of Windows and then download an install the file for Synaptics Touchpad Driver.

with the amount of trouble i have had with my hp laptop and have seen others with the same issues, i wud say see if u can return it and get something else
