Good and cost effective software/website developer

Hi

We are looking to get a website developed which will facilitate customers with an online account searching a database of clients (by location) and booking a service. We want to incorporate automatic reference number generation and invoicing where possible.

How complicated would this be to develop?

Also what do people estimate the costs of something like this to be?

Finally can anyone recommend a company or individual to quote for the project?

Any half decent developer could do this. You really need to get it all into some kind of a formal document i.e. spec it out.

Not complicated based on what you have above.

Firstly, yes we would want to process payments

Secondly, we do have a spec drawn up and will be approaching people for formal quotes in the coming weeks.

you can expect to pay more for processing the payments.

to be honest, it's such an open ended question which cant be answered with so few details, but anywhere from a grand up to whatever you can afford would be the range at a guess.
