police certificate for visa

    Not sure if this is in right place but as part of my visa application for oz they want a Police certificate,does anyone know what this isdo i just go to garda station and ask for it

    Go to your local police station with i.d and they will give you a form to fill out looking for your previous addresses and just hand it back to them, it should take a few weeks.

    Check the travel forum there is lots of info there about this.

    Go to local Garda station with a list of all your previous addresses, your birth certificate and a letter outlining why you want it making sure to add in your contact details. Address the letter to Superintendent, Name of Garda station.

    Never heard of the form as mentioned above but I'm sure every station has it's own policies. I deal with them regularly (and even more regularly now) so PM me if you have any queries.
