Yes, 2011 - we're relaxed. For relaxed, read far behind. Anyway, we can't make our minds up on possible honeymoon destinations. Neither of us like to spend 2 weeks lazing by the pool on hols, but we do like beaches, I suppose with access to a bit of old stuff and interesting stuff to see and do. Would love to hear any suggestions, particularly of places that are good to see in April. Thanks folks!

    Would you like to visit:
    Hemmingway's House
Little White House, where President Truman spent most of his Presidency
    Battleships
    Forts
    Robert the Doll http://www.robertthedoll.org/

Would you like to have the choice of great restaurants, cycle around an island, laze on the beach?

If all of the above appeals to you, why not consider Key West, Florida?

How about Italy? You could get a few days skiing in some of the Alpine resorts as some stay open until mid April, then head south for warmer temperatures and the sea?

Would second Italy - around the lakes area. Beautiful scenery, you could lake hop. The train network in Italy is great as well so you could head over to Milan, Venice, Verona. Or even down to Rome for a a bit. Plus the food and wine are great and reasonable priced.

The longleat one. Should be quiet enough in April (i.e. no hoards of children on holidays). Beautiful place, hundreds of chalets in longleat forest....no cars, just bikes or walk to get around....lots of activities to do....or just relax in your chalet....

We looked into an American road trip but then settled for the lazy honeymoon :p but California is beautiful in April, perfect weather, not too hot but still hot enough... you could fly into San Francisco and drive down to LA or San Diego and back from there? Or further depending on how much time you have.
