Engine Hoist can these be rented?

    As the title says, Im going to need one of these in the next few weeks, does anybody know where to get one, obviously ill need it one day to take the engine out and again when im puting it back in, is there any place that rents engine stands too?

    Try a tool hire shop. If you have a shed/garage with a substantial well placed beam, there's the option of using a differential pulley block.

    I dont really want to chance it, the engine weighs around the 300kg mark. Also its cast Iron so I really dont want to drop it!

    For anybody else looking for one, JW hire do them as do HSS hire, looking at e60 for a weekend.

    I saw hoists in Lidl a few days ago, didn't notice the load capacity however.

    Ive nowhere to store a hoist, and e60 is cheaper than e150, leaves more money for nice parts to make more power:D
