Travelling to Oz in Sept

    Hey
    Me and two friends are going to Oz in Sept. Heading to Thailand first for about 3 weeks and then to Oz.

    Just wondering does anyone have any recommendations for routes to go or places to go or avoid.
    Thinking of starting in Cairns and then heading down the coast to Sydney and maybe settling in Melbourne.

    Would love some advice.
