Leather (jacket) care question

Faint grey/off-white marks have begun to appear on a leather jacket that has been worn less than ten times.
When they first appeared, it was believed they were simply stretch/wear marks, as the leather settled, OR they were being caused by a shoulder bag strap - but neither of these seem to be the case.

The marks/blemishes seem to increase in size and visibility each time the jacket is worn.

The jacket has only seen slight rain, nothing has been spilled on it and no solutions have been applied in order to clean it.

As many here are probably familiar with leather jackets, have any others experienced as above, what causes it and is there a leather care balm of sorts, to prevent further tarnishing?

    Thanks.
