2008 VW GOLF MK Headlight Washers Broken!

Morning everyone - I have a 2008 VW golf GT with a winter pack. After the snow at the beginning of December I noticed that the headlight washers had stopped workeng. The jets dont push out of the housing on the bumber anymore so I assume the motor burned out while they were frozen.

Does anyone know if this is an easy and in-expensive fix?

    Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same issue with a 2007 X5, I am afraid to ask BMW for a fix, but it is a pain.

I might ring my friendly BMW garage in Belfast and ask them if they have a solution, prices are usually half or less than Dublin main dealer prices.

I never realised how much I liked them until they were gone.

Headlight washers dont have motors the work off a high pressure pump located at the washer bottle, the pressure pushes the jet up.

Could be 1 of 2 thnigs

1.The froze during the big freeze and the hoses split,to diagnose this fill your washer bottle up,start the car and turn on headlights and get someone to activate the headlight washers and see if you can see water dripping from behind bumper.

2.The froze during big freeze and the fuse blew when you tried to operate them, check the fuse.
