Are you using a task killer?

task killer?? sorry am a bit new to all this smart phone lark, i don't even know what a task killer is, not put anything new on the phone, and even this morning when i got up (7a.m) the alarm was still showing for wednesday 19th 6.00 a.m. Only updated itself at about 7.30 am and now showing thursday 20th 6.00 a.m.

Is the alarm actually turned on? There should be a checkbox next to it, make sure you didn't disable it by accident.

yeah, the alarm was ticked, and the phone was on it didn't power off during the night. Just worried about this happening again as i can't be late for work another day!!

I was having the same problem I came accross this advice on the internet. Hope it works:
I think the default setting for the Europa (perhaps all Android phones?) is to get the time automatically from the phone network - to make sure the time is always correct. However it sounds like the phone "puts the network to sleep" after a while, that might be rubbish! So why not try disabling the automatic time udpates. Under Settings-Date & time, try unticking the 'Automatic' option and see if that works. I assume by doing that, the phone keeps its own internal time?
