Is anyone doing this? Or did anyone do it last year? What's it like?

I am thinking of doing it....but I'm ashamed to say I don't know that part of the county very well but I always think of Annestown as kinda hilly!! Which would involve some extra mental preperation :D especially considering I haven't run a race in over a year :(

Just take the first couple of miles very handy, keep your energy for the hills after Annestown beach. I'll be taking my own advice this year :D

It's a very well organised race, worth doing.

Well the Anne Valley Challenge took place today - nice race, course wasn't too bad - think I had myself psyched up for near vertical ascent coming out of Annestown so the hill that presented itself wasn't as bad as I had imagined. To be honest, I found the slow steady climb further on much tougher than the initial uphill out of annestown but maybe I was just getting tired!

Finished in an offical time of 44:32min which I am pretty happy with. Nicely run event as well, definately one to keep in mind for next year.

    Hey Jimbo,
If you can run 30:15 there you can smash 30 mins up in Kilmac this Sunday...i reckon its about 40s faster than anne valley.
You should try go to it.
