Hard to see the exact finish on that. Is it like formica or a laminate effect. Try a product from Bin123 available from Crown. Try to clean the table with white spirts and a rag, removing grease or dirt. Lightly sand and use the Bin123. It will stick to the furniture giving you a base so you can finish the job with an oil or waterbase gloss or satin finish. Just like you would paint a door or frame after the Bin is apllied. Always sand betwen coats.I beleive small 750mls is under €10 for Bin.

    Hi Phil,

the finish would be laminate. I'm also planning on jazzing up a tv stand which at the moment has a sticker like cover on it, pretty sure it's chipboard underneath. Will the Bin123 work just as well on that?

    Thanks

If you get all the sticker off, and any bits of glue underneath, then Bin123 will work as a primer perfectly for this. Make sure you prep it right otherwise it wont look great.

    Phil.
