Question about Grant

    Quick question..
Finally been awarded the Grant after gathering the copious amounts of info the grant authority wanted.

I was awarded full adjacent level 5.

Thing is, as the recession has been bad for us I know our reckonable income(my mothers and I) was within the amount needed to receive the special rate top up(which is definitely needed). But unfortunately since I moved out in 2009 she had to be taken off single parent and put onto jobseekers.

When I asked why I didnt receive the top up I was told it was because she wasn't on single parent allowance anymore.
In fairness she just switched from one of the required SW payments to another. I think this is ludacris. Just because she switched half way through the year I cant be awarded the top up.

I wasn't aware that she switched to jobseekers when I rang the grant authority so I plan to contact them again to plead my case. Is there a supervising officer who deals with cases like this who I could speak with (CDVEC).

    Do I have a case?
