    Cannot see why not.

    Format it and wipe it with 1's before hand.

    Use carbon copy to copy the os and data on the 160.

    Get tool of choice and perform cannibalization on caddy.

    Install it and verify and repair permissions, and so on.

    worked like a charm..!!

    the same spec hd on elara would have been ~60, the ext HD cost 45!!

    easy peasy!
