I banged my car (Fiat Punto Grande) off a pillar and have cracked the cover of one of my headlights - I mean the thick plastic type cover. As I've my NCT coming up I need to get this fixed soon. Can anyone recommend a garage in the Dublin 12 area that won't rip me off? How much roughly should this cost to get fixed? Thanks.

If it's a small enough crack and you just want to get it through the NCT, this repair tape from halfords will do the job.

I needed a quick fix to get my car through the NCT and used this on a cracked light, car passed no problem.

Is it a detachable cover or is it a complete headlight unit ? If it is you could get either in a motorfactors and fit it yourself, keep in mind you'll have to have it adjusted properly or it will fail.

Unless it's completely ruined bring it into the test as is.

Thanks, both - there is no chance I could fix it myself though! Can anyone recommend a garage around Dublin 12 that won't charge a fortune?
