Travel to Germany with Drivers license?

    What are the chances guys?
    A friends passport expired and we're flying out tomorrow.
    Will Ryan Air let him on, and will he get back?

    id say he will need his passport if it's to germany

    Not a hope in hell.

    FR may miss the expiry date on the passport, but German border police at his point of arrival won't.

    Best bet is to get to passport office pronto with proof of travel and get an emergency passport.

    Agreed with this, having flown to Germany a few times they usually scan the barcode on the passport through the passport reader and also scan it. Most likely he will not even get on the plane!
