    hi there,

i may/may not be moving in to a 2 bed apartment with storage heating.

my question is on average, how much would it cost per month considering that i'd only be using it from 6pm every day?

how long do you have to leave it on before the place would heat up?

You need to turn it on today if you need heat tomorrow.
The heaters heat up from 23.00 - 7.00 or 24.00 - 8.00 depending on if we are in summer or winter time. they release heat during the day

To calculate what they would cost to run you need the kw rating of each heater , they will be on for 8 hours a night , add the standing charge & vat to it & you will claculate what they will cost to run

There is calculater available on https://www.esb.ie/esbcustomersupply/residential/energy_efficiency/appliance_calc/appliance_calculator.jsp

Each 2.2 kw storage heater works out at Euro 63.00 per 2 month billing to run

    Hi Bertie,
Just wondering if you would be able to help me with a storage heating query.
My heaters are not charging up at all at night lately.....could this have something to do with weather i.e. warm outside.....
Hope you can help as I am finding these storage thingys a nightmare.
    Thank you.
