Was thinking of getting VoIP and getting rid of the Eircom line(broadband not provided over the phone).
Anyone recommend a provider in Ireland ? Blueface?

Anyone recommend a good sip phone and where to get one?

You need broadband in order to be able to use VoIP. Are you saying that you can't get broadband on your Eircom line? If so then can you tell us where you are and maybe one of the wireless broadband providers might be available in your area.

i got a sip line from Blueface about a year or so ago and have had little or no problems with it.

before anyone states the obvious from my username, yes i am a telephone engineer but the setup is very easy.

a couple of great features with Blueface are. you can manage everything over the web, you can send voicemail messages to your email, you can choose where the calls will ring if your broadband goes down (mobile or other location) you can view your calls list realtime. etc etc

when it all boils down to it, stable broadband is what you need for good VOIP
