IE8 bullet list problems

    Hiya, does anyone know any good online resources that deal with IE8 css issues? I've got an infuriating issue with IE8 where the first bullet in my list is jumping up a line to sit on the edge of the div above it, like this:

    [ OTHER DIV UP HERE ] <>
    list item 1
    <> list item 2
    <> item 3
    <> item 4

    Trying to find a solution that doesn't screw things up in other browsers (especially IE6!) is driving me barmy.
