Isn't talking a weird thing

    No other animals do it do they?
    We make weird sounds and everyone makes them a little different and yet we can understand what the person is on about.
    It's just so weird if you actually think about it. A head wrecker like trying to understand how the universe has been around for ever as gases and what not. How did they get there?
    How do we know there isn't more than just this on universe?
    It's really annoying too that we'll never know all the answers, I'd love to know!

    wow - so weird so early!
    Speech developed from arbitrary sounds that early hominids attributed meaning to. Over the millenia these grunt sounds became more refined and defined and that eventually led to language.
    Who's to say animals don't understand each other perfectly well.
    If my dog barks, the dog next door answers.
