Paris in February with children

I’ll be in Paris next month with 2 children aged 8&10 for 3 nights. We will fly to Beauvais and get the bus to Porte Malliot. Can anyone help with ideas for accommodation please? A twin room would be best but double is also ok. I’m just looking for something basic and clean but the location is important. We’d like to be able to walk from our hotel to most sites. I’ve spent the past few hours trawling through web sites and my head is spinning. It has been so many years since I’ve been in Paris that I don’t even know what area we should aim for. Our budget is 200 – 250 euro for 3 nights. If anyone could suggest an area or even a hotel I would be most grateful.

Consider staying in the Marais area - it's a great neighbourhood and within walking distance of Notre Dame and the Louvre (well about 20 minutes walk). I've stayed in this hotel before and it's fine - www.grandhotelmalher.com/home.html . Across the street is a cheaper option - www.le-sevigne.com, but be warned, the rooms are tiny.

Another area to try is the St Germain/Left Bank area. This hotel is good - location is excellent but again, the rooms are tiny - https://www.3colleges.fr/english_version/presentation.htm

An alternative could be to rent an apartment for three nights. I've rented apartments from www.homeaway.com - just do a search for Paris, and narrow it down by area (my suggestion would be the 5th (Marais) or 6th (St Germain) arrondissements). They can work out at good value and you'd have a bit more space, which could be handy with kids.

Thank you so much for all that info. It really helps me to narrow down the search.
