Hey, I just signed up to do Admin Law this semester in Kings Inn in order to qualify to sit the entrance exams in August. I will be travelling across the country in order to attend the "compulsory" lectures...I paid 400euro:confused: for the course when all I really want to do is sit the exam. Anyone else in the same position?

It is an annual event that students and prospective lawyers from this and other jurisdictions do not meet the qualification requirements to sit the entrance examination of the Honorable Society of the King's Inns. I am fairly sure you are not alone.

Thank you Tom for your reassuring words. The main reason for my post was to seek out someone who is the specific position I am in. Someone who is sitting Admin Law externally this May. I doubt I'll be able to make any lectures or tutorials (the new bypass is good but not that good) so this supposedly means I'm down 20% already. I'm being a bit of an eager beaver simply because I havn't studied for a few years and advice on Admin law in general would be helpful. On the other hand perhaps I will be reassured in this regard by just having a chat with somebody working within Kings Inn.

I was under the impression that the 90% compulsory attendance was required for the Dip course as well as the Administrative course?

I could attend the 7.30 tutorials but the lecture times just wouldn't be possible after work. I will call Kings Inn tomorrow to see if I have any options. Cheers.
