    How do they prevent sand from covering the road in Dubai? I see no walls at the side or anything obvious

    Brother lives over there and they (poorly) pay immigrants from India etc to sweep them.

    some times the sand just blows onto the road, you can see it if you watch the top gear episode where James may takes a Bugatti veyron and Lamborghini to Dubai. he has to slow down and weave in and out of the sand pits in the middle of the road lol.
