Hi, I was caught driving my brothers car with no insurance, stupid thing to do i know, i normally am very disciplined, no previous convictions, i just had a short car journey and never changed my insurance details on to his car.

im just wondering has anyone been in the same boat? what has happened?
1 year ban? fine? if so how much? how long will i have to wait to be summoned to court?
sorry for all the questions im just worried and so angry at myself for this. :(

Please no negative comments, i know i was stupid i just want some advice.
    Thanks

    Check your own insurance.
You might be lucky in that it will cover you third party to drive other cars.

Otherwise yeah, you're looking at a 1 year ban and a fine of about €500 if Carlows courts are anything to go by.
