KWA USP COMPACT MAGS

Does anyone know where I can find these at home or abroad?
I bought a used KWA USP compact recently and would like to find a spare mag. As far as I know, it is a 20/21 round magazine not like the regular 25 round USP mags, it's thinner too.
    Also, are Co2 mags available?
Finally, can KWA hopup adjustment keys be bought?
Any helps and links are appreciated,
    Thanks.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that KSC and KWA should be compatible. Have you any idea what postage is for airsofteire?

Couldn't tell ya as I drove up to their shop instead of shipping it out but I'd say it would be cheap for a few mags. They're a good bunch of lads, very helpful so don't be afraid to drop them an email about the price. Defo recommend them.

Just to confirm the KWA and KSC USP compact mags are interchangeable. (I have a KWA and my mate has the KSC and we do swap mags. Both use the older, non-System 7 mags).

As per usual, and because they are significantly different, if you can get to the shop physically to compare you're probably better off. On this very forum I have bought mags for one type which the seller had purchased in error online, thinking they were the other....

I've owned a KSC USP Compact for over four years and I have yet to see a CO2 mag for the platform. That's not to say they don't exist as they could well and I've just somehow managed to consistently avoid finding them, but I doubt they do [exist] :p

I know that my USP is probably not the system 7 version, and I've been looking at non system 7 mags and there isn't much price difference.

A man can dream in these cold airsofting days can't he? :)

Can someone tell me where airsofteire's shop is? I live in Cork and stay in Limerick during the week also.
Upon disassembling my USP compact it seems to have a metal slide and not plastic, so either a previous owner replaced it or does this mean that it is a different version?

You can get KWA/KSC USPs with and without metal slides. Some KWA USPs can come pre-fitted with G&P or ASG aftermarket metal slides fitted out of the box depending on the batches. KSC fit their own as far as I know.

The system7/NS2 versions all have plastic external barrels even if they have metal slides fitted. Only Shooters Design do after market metal external barrels for the S7/NS2 USPs. The old non S7/NS2 USPs with the metal slides also had metal external barrels fitted.

Just run your finger over the breech cover or rack the slide and feel the barrel, you will know straight away.

The outer barrel is plastic and the inner barrel is metal, I took it apart for a look see last night. Also the pistol has no markings.
Also I don't need the hopup key, I can adjust it be disassembling the pistol

It sounds like you do have a KWA (no markings) NS2 version (NS2 is KWA's name for KSC's System7).

If it was a USP.45, I could tell you straight off if it's a S7 or not by just looking at the mag very quickly as I have one of each. On the full size USP mags, the old ones have a fully closed in metal mag and high profile loading lips, the S7 mags have an open slot down the front strap so you can count the bbs in the mag and low profile loading lips. I don't know if these differences are the same across the Compact models.

I don't know the differences to look for on the Compacts mags off hand as I just own an S7 one.

One thing that stands out though. The system 7 USP recoil spring and guide rod are a pain to change out during stripping compared to the old USPs that strip down exactly like the real things.

The old versions, it's just pure spring tension hold the rod against the slide and barrel, with the S7 versions there is a retaining nub on a hinge that holds the guide rod in place, I find it a right pain to take apart and put it back together with that.

Thanks, my mag has the slot down the front that lets you count the BBs and there is the retaining nub on a hinge near the spring too.

The trick is to pull the spring away fron the nub (at the base which touches the nub), then swing the nub the other way while holding the spring, let the spring return to it's normal length and take it out, finally take out the outer and inner barrel. It's easy once you get the hang of it, 5-10 secs breakdown I'd say.

Does this mean that I buy a system 7 mag instead of a non-system 7 mag? It's good to hear that it's a newer version gas system as that should improve gas efficiency and cooldown shouldn't it?

Edit: 13 secs breakdown, but that can be improved :P

From what you have posted I'd reckon it's safe to say you have S7/NS2 USP.

It is an improvement in performance alright, very easy to notice the difference myself between my USPs. A CO2 version of the USP.45 would be nice, there is enough room in that big mag it has, it's an ideal GBB to make a CO2 version of.
