    Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a car that I can use as a general(main) mode of transport and also cart a Retriever and a Terrier around in when necessary.

Low running costs (MPG/tax) is desirable, as is a bit of poke (if not mutually exclusive).

Say 6k for a budget, but might go more for something really good.

Volvos are fine, Avants too, VRS even if they exist at that budget.

    Whaddya reckon ?

No matter what you go for in the end, make sure you can get a dedicated boot tray for it ...plastic sides would be even better.

Dog hair and dog smell sticks to the usual carpet fabric really badly :D

A bed sheet does the job (drive my Westie to the local open space sometimes).
