I want to dye my red hair a light auburn/brown colour and I’m not sure which shade or brand of colour to go for. I did a strand test with clairol light brown but the dye didn’t take.

My hair is currently this colour naturally auburn-hair.jpg

And I’d like it to be this colour

I find Garnier the best, personally. I use Loreal sometimes but I find it fades very quickly. Perhaps a sales assistant can go through a colour chart with you and find out which colour suits you best?

You could try Lush's henna dye. They do a reddy-brown colour. It does get messy though!

    hey !

the two colours in the pics are kind of the same it will depend on the way the light hits it !

id say for the ashley simpson colour go for a : ica mahogany brown or or a mahogany colour or maybe a darker dye with hints of copper . loreal has alot of colours but i think maybe try a garnier colour they usually have nicer mahogany colours !

    hope this helps xx
