In recent years more and more guys are coming out on the Irish gay fetish scene. This group is a way for us to meet each other online and organise events we want where we can meet up socially. We already have a new club night running in Dublin each month. The numbers attending the event are growing.

If you want to hook up with other guys who share your interest in fetish gear then this is the place for you. Here we will keep you informed of upcoming events of interest to you and your friends. Together we can build a community and events we want.

Was thinking the same thing, obviously sexism is still alive and well in the LGBT community

Is RULE being run by the people who were running the furry glen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,201 ✭✭✭ongarboy

seemingly not. A friend of mine who was at Pantibar last Saturday night said they had the last Furry Glen night there and that it is now moving to a bar on Wicklow St (next to Tower Records). From reading below RULE is more about a club for fetish wear enthusiasts rather than just the Bear lifestyle punters but from a few of the Furry Glen nights I went to, a fair number of punters were dressed up in gear (army/leather etc).

I'm impressed with Dublin's scene becoming more diverse. There was also a monthly gig in Nealon's bar on Capel Street for bears. Never been to that one but not sure if it is still ongoing.

    Best of luck to RULE!

I'd imagine it's men only because some of them would feel uncomfortable kitted out in front of a woman.

    Also, is this just LUBE?

Isnt it down near the Front Lounge or in that area after a certain rag created difficulties for the owner of the original venue?

its on in Turks Head, Parliament Street- last Sunday night of each month. A mate of mine was at the February night and said it was enjoyable - he ended up with a really muscular Polish boy! ;)

I think the last venue was owned by Anne Doyle's partner which is why some tabloid tried to sensationalise it and he subsequently decided not to host it going forward.

Ah thats who it was. I recalled the venue owner saying Goodbye after comments in the rag were impinging on his partner - but hadnt heard who it was.

Wasn't aware it had re-opened after it was, erm, 'removed' due to that story. Was kept rather quiet!
