    Help.
Our pump which is a grundfos/self electric 240v runs even when the heating is turned off. Is this a big problem. sometimes we turn the small leaver down and it turns off . But what we are worried about is does this affect the heating????

The pump is permanently live instead of switch live responding to the boiler or stat, I suggest getting a sparks or a plumber who understands the system. A pump uses quite a lot of electricity and it will wear out more quickly due to overheating, well worth having it corrected.

Some pumps are connected to a pipestat which allow an over run until water in pipe cools down
if this is what you have then there is no problem
what is the small lever you turn down?
