Did anyone see any of the cars along ballymahon road at Quinns bmw showrooms with punctures ?
Must have been at least 10 in row last night ?

The amount of potholes that have sprung up since last week is insane. I'm not a civil engineer but I would be confident in thinking the freeze and thaw has opened them all up.

The site where they're building a new roundabout out in monksland is a complete disaster and barely drivable. There's also a huge pothole right in the middle of town on the speedbump outside the prince. I'd advise anyone going on the bypass not to do anything above 90 kmph and keep an eye on the road surface because there are giant craters in it.

I can't help but feel like it's only a matter of time before I have to change a tyre myself. It's a pain in the arse.

No, but i work around the corner somewhat from that road, and ive been told there were quite a few cars with damaged wheels.

Roads are brutal. To see the council out filling in pot holes with watery tar and chippings sickens me. its a waste of time.

Why dont they look at what the germans or swedish use and then use this. I know it is a dearer road surface but in the long run it is cheaper than having to go round mending roads every winter.

If people sent their tyre bills to the council more often, they would not be long addressing it.
I know this is a rant but what exactly are we paying road tax for.

re-surfacing will be done between now and March anyway with the elections coming up
