ba sale ends jan 25th.Book on ba.com
Just tag on a seperate aerlingus connection booked separately on aerlingus.com.
To jfk,it should come in under €500 with both.

I'm surprised aerlingus are that expensive though. They have been €400 in their recent sales.

Downside, you have to collect bags and recheck them in heathrow because of the separate tickets.
Also if you miss the ba flight due to an aerlingus delay, you will lose your ba flight.

Dates and destination would help, sub €500 fares available incl direct flights.

You can get to Barrow, Alaska for €1350 on August 14th. Bargain!
I presume that is where you want to go.

Im flying to the US in June with BA and it was actually cheaper to include the connections from and to Dublin for the flights I'm taking. I booked in the current sale period and through ebookers as they quoted me a price cheaper than the BA website.

At the time I booked Aer lingus only had the seat sale price for flights to the US until the beginning of April. They sent me a mail the other day saying that US seat sale is now including the months upto June.

It's too early for the Summer sale prices from Aer Lingus, their sale is only for flights up to April at the moment. If you were willing to wait until April/May, I would be pretty confident you would get that price down. Where are you going? If it's Orlando or the west coast, then €700 would be the going rate with AL.

I have done the BA via London trip and while it can work out quite cheap, it is very long, we did it going to Orlando and the flight from London to Orlando was over 9 hours.

Have you priced the other airlines? I find Continental are routinely cheaper than AL and if you are going to New York, they are just as convenient. Try www.skyscanner.com to compare flight prices.

Have you checked flight prices in the last day or so? Their sale has been extended now to the Summer. I think July and August are excluded, but could be worth checking. I booked flights to Boston for September and saved €260 on the prices that were showing last week. Got flights for two people for €895... delighted :D
