I was just wondering if it's worth getting a car that you buy from a garage assessed by AA Ireland?

I seem to recall a lot of car dealers giving you free AA breakdown cover for a year when you bought a car off them. Would this still be the case in most or all garages? And if so, would it not be a conflict of interests asking the AA to inspect your car?

Car inspection from the AA is very expensive. I'd rather bring a good trusted mechanic with me to be honest.
