Spilled milk in car... rotten smell suddenly disappeared

    Word up my fellow drivers

I was wondering if I can get your thoughts on this.

I spilled half a large latte in my car about three weeks ago. About 10 days ago a very strong rotting smell suddenly appeared in the car. It smelled very much like spoiled milk.

Fast forward 10 days later and the very strong smell has suddenly totally disappeared. From a bit of googling this seems a bit uncommon.

Is it possible the smell was something else, e.g. a dead rat caught in the engine or something which fell out, or can the smell of spoiled milk suddenly disappear like this?

    Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Very unlikely but did you have any cut lemons in your car? they soak up the smell of sour milk.

You spilled milk, you smelled rotten milk for a few days, now the smell is gone.

    What's the problem?

There's no problem. I'm just puzzled. Google is telling me the smell should still be here.

If Google is telling you that the smell should still be there, then it probably is.

    Google knows everything!
