Iphone Deposit

Hey guys.

Paid a deposit of €200 on my new Iphone with Three today.

Guy in Carphonewarehouse said it is returned within 6 months.

Is that the case or does it come off my bills from now on?

Anyone else have to pay a deposit and what were they told?

I had to do something similar with vodafone when I first went bill.

I paid an extra 200 as a deposit and what they did over the first few bills was deduct the cost out of the deposit, so I basically paid for the first four months of bills straight off.

I'd say three would do the same, maybe ring them up and ask them to clarify, although, I've heard that the three customer support is quite bad.

It will be returned after 6 months. You can ring customer care then and ask them to put the €200 onto your account so your bills are paid from it or you can get it sent back by cheque.

make sure ya keep the receipt for the deposit, i've seen a few threads here where someone paid a deposit and it never showed up on their account, they then had to go into store to probe they paid it
