may be wrong but this will only erase the the engine light , no use on putting out airbag lights and the other more common faults which will occur

I have Engine Check Pro and I use it as my basic diagnostic tool. It supports all of the main protocols including those using CANBUS. I have used it with many cars and it gives excellent fault code and live data retrieval. I've used them on Pugs and Citroens as well with no issues.

However it is a "read-only, power train" only tool. It will not resolve fault codes associated with Airbag, ABS, security and body control systems. It also will not retrieve certain manufacturer specific codes from some cars unless the EML light is triggered as well (Ford P1xxx codes in particular). You cannot reprogram modules or carry out adaptations (like throttle body), parameter learning, or actuation tests (like EGR valves). It is effectively a PC based version of good hand-held generic scan tool, but it does work very well.

If you are buying it, chances are you will need to buy the proper ELM from Gendan as well, as it will not work with most of the cheapie Chinese ELM you see advertised on EBay.
