    Athy to Tralee.

    Good Ovening.

the wif is going from Athy to Tralee and back tomorrow.

i have a few routes that I would choose from, but I am unsure as to the best route.
    the options are below.
If possible I would appreciate all of your wisdom and opinions.
    greatly thanks in advance.

    1) Athy, Portlaoise, Limerick ring, N21, Tralee - google time 2h 59m
    2) Athy, Portlaoise, Limerick Ring, N69, Tralee - google time 3h 8min
    3) Athy, Abbeyleix, M8, Mallow, Killarney, Tralee - google time 3h 44

I would go with option 1, Portlaoise to Adare is all motorway (one toll near mountrath). I haven't been beyond Rathkeale in awhile but I don't remember it being too bad.

Option 1 is the only way to go. Apart from some narrow s2 past Adare, it's pretty much ws2 all the way towards Tralee and Castleisland is bypassed now too.

There's a few towns left like Abbeyfeale and Newcastlewest but nuttin major.

    it took 2h 30m total.

    1h 30m to limerick
    1h from limerick to tralee.
