I lodged a cheque during the week and checked the balance last night to see if it had cleared on the mini statement from the atm showed a ibp code and the cheque has been removed ,does this mean it has bounced??

Call your bank on Monday, there is nothing you can do on the weekend for it either way but it sounds like the cheque bounced or was cancelled before it cleared.

    Check your online banking..
When you deposit a cheque it appears as a credit (in the right hand column) on your bank statement.
If the narrative says "unpaid cheque" and an amount appears as a debit (in the left hand column) it means the cheque has bounced,

It's possible the cheque didn't appear on your statement because it has not cleared yet.
