I'm currently on my 2nd Learners Permit. I'm not getting as much practice driving as much as I need. I am thinking of applying for the test as there's a 16 week waiting list at the moment where I live. So i am wondering what are the regulations about going onto a 3rd Learners permit. I am not sure I will be experienced enough to do the test within my 2nd Learners Permit.

Is it true that I only need to APPLY for the test in order to get a 3rd Provisional.. Or what is the story? Sorry I have read so much information that I am confused. How long is a 3rd Provisional? Is it 2 years for those that have sat their test & 1 for people who haven't either applied of sat it??
