Problem with PS3

    Hey guys

Hope someone might be able to help. I downloaded the demo's for ME2 and Dead Space 2 together the other night. I was watching tv at the time so had them downloading away in the background.

Then today I turned on the PS3 again to play ME2 (to see if it was better looking etc than Xbox) the home screen seemed really sluggish first of all. I could eventually select the demo and load it, but it basically hung on all the ship graphics (loading screen) for about half an hour. I eventually got fed up and soft reset the PS3 (by holding the power button for 15 secs). Now though the home screen wont load properly, I cant select any of the settings without it crashing.

It gives a message sometimes about needing to install the latest system update. I've downloaded 3.55 onto a memory stick and tried what it says (press start and select at the same time) but it doesn't seem to recognise it.

Anyone got any ideas what might be wrong?

the usb must be FAT32 format ....?
and the update must be in this folder structure.. in capital letters....PS3>UPDATE> the 3.55 .pup file you downloaded
