hunt for a Golf TDI for 5K

Hi all, my mate has 5k to spend,he wants a TD golf. i was looking on D.deal last night for him and was shocked at the asking prices.

anyone seen any golfs for this type of money on sale?

On that last one, think it may be a part time trader, I'd also be wary of a 90hp Golf ptting out 170hp.

Also I'd be checking the chassis plates on the other cars for actual bhp if that's what you're after.

Red DI badges etc. don't really mean anything.

Yes the MKV models are going for crazy money alright, you should tell them to consider a Seat or Skoda alternative, same engines as the Golf and performance but cheaper.

Jeeze im tired telling him to try another car,he just smashed up his 02 tdi,he's had it 6 years,so he's set on another golf.:rolleyes:
