36w, 28l-Where can I get pants?

I hate shopping for pants. I'm currently waiting for a pair of pants in the dryer that I have to wear black work boots with because the leg is 34 on them, Every single pair of pants I've had to buy since before college has cost me at least15 quid more than anyone else and taken a week between buying and being able to wear, because no one, and I mean NO ONE I have ever found sold pants of 34-36 waist and anything shorter than 30 leg. My leg length is 28. twenty-eight! Why can't I find someone, somewhere, that sells pants I can wear out of the store and not have to send it to be taken up!

Feel your pain! Most trouser legs are too long for me too, and any time I have ever found a pair that fit I have managed to shrink them in the wash so they end up too short ! I've found myself wearing dresses alot more in the past year or so because its so much easier then trying to find a pair of trousers that fit. Obviously I can't wear dresses all the time and one thing I have found great was buying a sewing machine and doing my own alterations. Taking up trouser legs is actually quick and easy enough (definatly doesn't take a week!) and if your spending €15 extra every time you buy a pair of trousers you'd have the cost of the machine covered in no time. Think Aldi will have machines on sale next week.

Next and M&S both do a 29 inside leg - worth a try?

Perhaps you could look into Wundaweb, you can get it in Hickeys (the fabric shop) - it's basically a tape for 'hemming' trousers. You fold the fabric over the tape and then iron it and it sticks it together - for a 34 leg you'd probably need to cut quite a bit off as it would be quite bulky, but it really is very easy. You may need to redo it every few washes as it can melt, but it does the job

I know how you feel too :) New Look sell trousers with 28in length. I haven't tried them yet but once I get paid, will pop in and have a gander. Also, I have found some trousers in Penney's before, although, they're not great quality so the amount of money you'd spend on replacing them could probably justify you spending a bit more in the likes of Next. Have you tried buying online? I have found that the asos petite collection is pretty good.

Also, try Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins.

Think yourself lucky that the problem is not the other side of the coin where the leg is always too short. At least you have the option of turning up the hem.
It's no consolation to you I know but I had to vent too. :)

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.
