    Hi guys,
I want to play music from my iPhone 4 through my RCA connectors(red and white) in my car but also charge it through my USB cigarette port. The rca connectors and USB port is beside each other. Is there any single cable that will let me do this. Any help much appreciated.

dont think so, buy a charger in a €2 shop and just get a headphone to rca cable for the music

Agree about the headphone connection but an iPhone will not take a charge from a pound shop charger, probably because Apple were sick of replacing iPods and iPhones that had been fried by substandard car and mains chargers. Whatever charger you buy will need to have the 'Made for iPod' or 'Works with iPhone' logo.

I have an old Monster FM transmitter for the car with an Apple connector, the iPod Nano 1G (2005) will take a charge but the iTouch 2G (2008) will not, the audio connection works for both but the iTouch will not accept a charge.

It might charge it but it can be a "dirty supply" in electrical terms i.e. Cheap components and not a clean 5V output. Also the iPhone's require a 1A output, any less and you have a fire hazard. I'd recommend using Apple approved gear. Especially wall chargers. Can do untold damage to battery and components.

Interesting, when I connect the Monster FM transmitter (2006/7), the iTouch 2G (2008) display comes up with a message saying that it will not accept a charge as it's not a recognised accessory.

This is nonsense. I purchased a car charger for £1 stg in newry. Its worked a dream for 2 years now. Ive put a scope across output and its a perfectly clean 5v output.

Why should something that is comprises of a voltage regulator cost more than a quid?

Apple are the ones supplying substandard stuff. The signal on iphone 4 is pathetic
