air rifle

    looking for information on air rifles , what are the best makes ,do they give much trouble.what should i look for if i was buying one, will be used for bunny shooting and a bit of target shooting what cal .22 or 177 thanks

    you will pay as much or more for a decent air rifle that you will for a good .22 LR. 2nd hand they can be got for as little as 150-200 euro if ya look around. if its for bunnys and a bit of target shooting a .22 would probably be better for you, the licence procedure and requiements are the exact same as the air rifle and a box of 50 rounds can be bought for only a few euro.

    thanks for that have a.22 lr all ready thinking of getting an air rifle dont know much about them. would a co2 or spring be better.

    ah i see, used a break barrell springer for a while and it was good for crows and mags and that, good for the odd buny too. not too sure about the pcp ones, think i saw one for sale in the for sale section!

    I wouldnt get one unless i needed one, like if i had a problem around the house or in a shead with birds or rats or something, very handy tool for a job like this

    Going with my love of German firearms, I have to throw in the Diana RWS model 52.

    The side pump appears to be the way to go.

    I sold my .177 gamo. Got 250 for it. Have to say I'm not sorry to see the back of it. No power. The funny thing is that my local done a sub to a .270!!!!

    I live in cork. I chanced my arm and done the sub. 4 days later it arrived... I wonder if they knew what they were doing

    RWS is the way to go ,superb quality but pricey .
