Boards in 25 years?

It's fair to say that boards has become a significant feature of the Irish webscape and I don't think it fanciful of me to expect it to be still running for a long time yet. It's only going to get more and more popular as Ireland begins to truly embrace the internet for the fantastic resource that it is.

Do you reckon you'll still be posting in 25 years? I mean, provided you don't succumb to any misfortune upon the way, will you still regularly log in to survey the banter on AH and cash your two cents? Personally, I can't wait to see what boards becomes, expansion and interface renovation aside, there'll probably be heaps of new features and add-ons to enhance your boards experience.

Any ideas on what boards might develop into?

I don't know, these things are always transient. I used to post on other fora regularly, now I don't.
We'll see, I certainly love and enjoy it now, but I wouldn't bet I'm still here in 10 years

The EU will draft in new anti terrorism reguations that will require a license and adminiatration passes just to access the internet.

Boards and other blog sites will be severly censored making it will be impossible for those that are banned to set up profiles under another aliases. It will be the end of free speech and it may come about a lot sooner than 25 years.

I hope they will develop a "bulletproof" conspiracy theory filter in sooner than 25 years.

    Firstly:

It will obviously be spelt with a Z, boardz.ie, looks more futuristic I think you'll agree.

    Secondly:

As full sensory interaction with virtual beings becomes almost indistinguishable from real encounters, most men will be too busy engaging in cyber sexual relations with members of the cast of the original STARWARS trilogy.

won't exist. Murphy, Breso and the others would have sold off the last of their stocks and retired to argentina of their fortunes. Place will be completely void of ability to articulate opinion and people will stop using it...
