Memory Issues HTC Desire

Ok, So I rooted my Desire a few months ago using UnrEVOked, and it all went ok, I followed all the guides to the word and installed CyanogenMod.

I used that for a few months, then got bored and heard about the Sense HD builds, so I flashed that onto my Desire, but now my internal memory seems to be totally shot. I only have 70mb when I totally format it.

I theorize that because I didn't completely wipe the apps/data from when I used CyanogenMod, they still exist in some format, taking up my memory.

I heard about S-OFFing my Desire and resizing the system/data/cache, but I'm not sure is there any way for me to reclaim the memory that I seem to have "Lost"... anyone have any ideas?

HD roms are huge in general so try find a super skimmed one if thats what you want to stick with

Well then how to I totally wipe the current rom I have and move to a smaller one? And do you think that that'll reclaim my storage space?

Just as an aside to that request, I don't have any back-up of my original ROM, or the CyanogenMod one either, so I don't understand where the memory has gone.

Finding out exactly where its gone seems impossible, i tried to find out was i was getting memory warnings on my desire despite a2sd+

If you're looking for something prettiful, small and different from the rest have a look at miui_au. Its my new favourite. Use rom manager to wipe after backing up with titanium or similar
