this may be a stupid question but I'm just wondering which of these uses less of your download allowance?
    Thanks!

Downloads just need to be done once and you'll always have it. Streaming uses up internet and you need to come back to it if you wanna play it again and use it all over again. Stick to downloads.

    But EVERYTHING uses your allowance.

Watching streaming once and Download are the same.
Sometimes content is only available Streamed
Some downloads are higher quality, so take more of your allowance than many same viewing time of streaming.
