Hi all, looking for some help here!

I was at a car boot sale recently, and bought a job lot of ceramics/plates etc... Amongst the lot was a Royal Doulton Plate. It is titled " Lab Partners " by " Nigel Hemming ". It is a Limited Edition Fine Bone China plate and is part of The Franklin Mint Heirloom Recommendation, I was wondering if there is anyone who might be familiar the said item, and if they may be in a position to advise me of the value/availability of the said item!?

    BB

Have you got an image of the plate ?....
I think although 'limited edition' , it is one of the modern mass produced wares churned out under the royal doulton name .

They are living off their reputation which dates to when they produced individual hand skilled pieces , and had notable potters and painters in thier factory .

The stuff they put out today is transfer printed pieces , on machined wares , stamped with the royal doulton mark and an attempt to increase its value by making it ' limited edition ' .

These days its all about whatever makes most money and more importantly most profit, with little concern for the history and legacy of the firm .

I could be wrong here , but when i see the word limited edition , it usually a bad sign .
