I'm thinking about heading down tomorrow, hopefully someone checks it out today so I can find out if it's worthwhile...

from what I saw on the TV ...its recruitment agencies and people trying to sell you training courses....no actual companies offering jobs !!!

You know I think you might be right.I had a look at their webpage and it didn't look like many companies were attending.Do you know or anyone else are there any more of these job fair sort of things coming up.

I will go tomorrow, but from what I saw on the news, it wasn't really much, in terms of getting offered jobs.:(

These are always the same. Trying to sell to you rather than help you out.
If companies want people they will advertise or contact agents, who will then advertise.
There never was and never will be a need for this type of thing.

I know what you are saying and you definitely have a point but there are two agencies that I know of at it CPL( I think they are called) and also Hays which as far as I'm aware is a pretty big operation. I would like to go tomorrow but only found out it was on this evening so can't organise myself as I have a baby and live quite far away. But if you live near Dublin or in Dublin it might be worth going to. I might be wrong but who knows what Hays might have to offer especially if you are a graduate or a professional it might not be in Ireland though. And you know it is so much better to meet the people face to face rather than e mailing cvs and phoning them.
