brake pad wear

hi all, was just wondering what kind of life you can expect to get out of brake pads? had to change mine after about 1800k and after just another 1k they're looking fairly shot. didn't expect them to wear so quickly again? riding in all conditions though i suppose and not so great at cleaning off rims so i guess that's not…

diff types of pads,some wear differently to others and if their not ''installed'' correctly theyl wear unevenly and faster
