Super Task Killer 2011

Hi all,

Are task killers of benefit in 2.2 or paradoxically do they actually suck up battery power duplicating something the phone (Froyo) is already doing?

I used to be a big fan in order to speed up the phone and save battery power but I read a headline somewhere that they are in fact complete a waste of time and resource. Unfortunately I didin't get to read the article hense my question now.

Makes sense, good read - I stopped using task Killer as it was draining my battery - big difference after stopped using the app.

Cheers guys. Having read that article I'm now firmly in the No Task Killer camp. I've installed Watchdog Lite to keep an eye on rogue apps hogging too much CPU but NO MORE TASK KILLER!!
