Hi all, I'm moving to Dublin later this year hopefully. What is the best ISP in Dublin for PS3 gaming, with no lag issues and with open NAT type? thanks! :)

    Also:

Are there any local video games store around Dublin? Please indicate the address and feedbacks. thanks!

I'm on UPC now after trying various dsl providers and UPC trumps them all.
Fantastic ping speeds to servers in the UK and Europe even during peak times.
You could go for their cheapest option for €25 and you get 10mb down and 1mb up.

Not sure about "local" video game shops but I usually get my games from Game in Dundrum or on Dawson Street. There is a second had shop on Grafton street i've heard people taking about but I've not gone in there.

+1 for UPC. although people tend to be critical of them, i have also found their service to be good. I recently got upgraded to a 20 mg connection from 15 mg and i find it to be excellent for COD and rarely get disconnections or issues joining parties etc.

As for game shops in Dublin, well you wont be short on choice. I buy mostly from Game shops, second to that choice is Gamestop, however i find that in my experience, i have tended to get better value for money from Game.

Also xtravision can be a gem for picking up spur of the moment 2nd hand stuff for cheaper than i would have expected. havent tried that game shop on grafton st, (i could be wrong) but i got it in my head that just because it is where it is, the prices might not be so competitive! failiing that HMV are not bad for buying games either. failing that just buy online ! :D

My broadband was originally with BT, but was transferred to Vodafone as part of their takeover of BT. I've had no problems yet and it's reasonably priced. I've no personal experience with UPC broadband, but have heard great reviews.

As for game shops, there's loads. It depends what part of Dublin you're moving too. I'm in west Dublin, so usually go to Liffey Valley shopping centre/Fonthill retail park. I've used Xtra Vision, Game, Game Stop and Smyths, but have always found Smyths to be the cheapest. They have a huge range of games available, both new and second hand.
